Describe a challenge (or set of challenges) you faced in planning for your sequence.
the challenge i had was coming up with a type of animating. I couldn't choose and the magazine cut paper was the easiest but i couldn't find a character to use as her dad. i used tim the tool man taylor but his arms were bent weird before i cut him out so it wasn't the best choice.
How did you meet the challenge? I used Tim the Tool Man Taylor but his arms were bent weird before i cut him out so it wasn't the best choice.
Describe your rationale for animating what you animated, and for using the method (stop frame vs cut paper vs handdrawn vs rotoscope etc) you chose. I used cut paper because it was the method I think i could do better than anything else and we weren't supposed to use flash. I animated her dad swatting bees and stinging him.
What was the best part of the project? The worst? The best part was watching them all together because it made a story you could watch even though it was in 5 second clips of different people animating it all fit together.

Trash man: Starts out with a talking scene in a chair like a "the office" interview.
TM: he explains what he does going out and picking up peoples trash. whenever your trash disappears the trash truck only picks up 10% of the time. Trashman gets the rest.
Tm:ones day while he is picking up trash he notices a man in all white and a mask and decides to follow him.
Tm: he follows him for a while and finds out that the recycler is following his route.
the recycler: Now an office interview with him. he talks bad bout trashman letting you know he hates him for not recycling. he is very radical and thinks the trashman should die. he says im going to get him and the interview is over.
Trashman is on his late day route picking up trash and everything is normal.
TR: runs out throwing bottles at him and yelling at him to put the can down.
Trashman: runs away before he gets hurt.
TR: does this again and hits him with cans and containers from the recycle bin.
Trashman decides he needs to fight back. He uses his resources, The garbage, to find things to fight back with.
He finds TR on his route and sneaks up on him and wraps him up with an old jumprope.
While TR is on the ground about to die he says one last thing."now you see i have already one."
Trashman: and how is that
TR: where did you get that stuff to fight me with?
TR you recycled it...
Trashman NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Protagonist vs. Antagonist Brainstorm Writing
Copy and paste this onto your blog. (command C, command V)
You will write details about six characters; three antagonists, three protagonists.
Begin with one character, a protagonist. Write down their name. Write their current desires and motivations in life. Write down their childhood/backstory. These are the most important pieces.
Now write down their physical description, physical quirks, personality flaws. This is secondary to the motivation and backstory. It’s the icing on the cake, and it’s still important.
Now write that character’s nemesis using the exact same process (desires, backstory, physical ing onionsand personality quirks, etc). Think about why and how they are blocking the protagonist from achieving their goal. Is it malicious? Accidental?
Repeat this with two other sets of characters.
NOTE: You do not have to use all or any of these characters for your video if you don’t want to. It is an exercise to get you thinking about character building. On the other hand, this may trigger some brilliant thought that leads to a wonderful video project. You won’t know unless you put your heart and head into it.
EXAMPLE:
Protagonist: Nelson Frizell loves football. He is 18 years old. He grew up in a very athletic family with two older brothers who were both varsity football and basketball players. Nelson loves to play sports also but isn't very good. He actually is the worst out o all of his friends. They always play backyard football and he always guards Neil Brunn. The thing about Neil Brunn is that he is the worst person on the other team. Nelson and Neil always compete to see who is the worst overall but it usually doesn't matter because they both suck.
Antagonist:
Neil Brunn grew up the opposite of Nelson. He is 17 and was raised by his over protective mom and dad. He has no siblings to teach him sports. His mom doesn't want him playing football but in 9th grade he was asked by some kids if he wanted to play, they never knew he had never played before. He doesn't hate Nelson he just doesn't want to be the worst player. He tries as hard as he can every game to be better than Nelson and sometimes he is but sometimes nelson is better. They go through many struggles trying to better better than the other.
Protagonist:
Tina Lee Paul's mom is always mean to him. She always asks him to clean the basement a little bit or go outside and get some exercise. Although she is not being mean and asking him nicely he just talks about how mean she is. She wants him to get another job and start working and get a girlfriend but he just says shes mean and nagging.

Protagonist:
Paul Lee is a 24 year old high school drop out living in his basement. all he does all day is play wii and watch breaking bad. He only leaves the basement at night to get food from the fridge for the long nights of wii and the next day ahead of him. He had big plans for college but instead he decided to stay home and work. He worked at a Mcdonald's all summer of his senior year but got fired before college would have started. Instead of finding another job he just spends his time underground.
Antagonist:Tina Lee Paul's mom is always mean to him. She always asks him to clean the basement a little bit or go outside and get some exercise. Protagonist: The trash man doesn't like recycling. he has never recycled in his life and he helps other people throw theirs away. One day while throwing someone's trash away he sees someone. He doesn't know who they are.
Antagonist: The recycler is who he sees, a masked man or woman (he can't tell behind the mask) and he lives to recycle. He runs around while people are at work fighting crime and digging through there trash to find recyclables. He is very radical and already knows about the trashman. He has been digging through the trash on the trashman's route taking all the recyclables and making less stuff for the trashman to pick up.

I remember...
I remember...
- The water color
- Pond smelly
- Catching a buttload of fish
- The sound of bikes behind me
- no as much trash
- no fishing sign thrown into the water
- riding my bike there
- Now the water is dirty
- lots of trash
- black smelly dirt
- drive there now
- better fishing pole now
- less fish
I don't remember...
- when i started going
- when the water changed
- when the fish left
- the last time i rode my bike there
- the last time i caught something
Short story reflection
A rattan chair with a decorator pillow
stood at the foot of the bed.
The buffed aluminum kitchen set took up
a part of the driveway. A yellow muslin cloth,
much too large, a gift, covered the
table and hung down over the sides. A potted fern was
on the table, and a few feet away from
this stood a sofa and chair and a floor lamp.
1.What
kind of details does Carver choose to describe the “place?”
He talks about cartons everywhere and
everything else is in the yard.
2.What do the following passages tell you about the place?
It was getting dark because the lights were
turning on and she could see a star.
3. Now look at the passages that you chose. How do they talk
about the place? Why are they important or unimportant? "Those people over there, they're
watching," she said.
"It's
okay," the man said. "It's my place," he said.
"Let
them watch," the girl said.
"That's
right," the man said. "They thought they'd seen everything over here.
But
They
haven't seen this, have they?"
The neighbors don’t
like him living there and watch him.
The
old guy give it to us.
and all these crappy
records. Will you look at this shit?"
It sounds like they didn’t like being there and they just
bought his stuff cheap.

Evaluation Criteria
Evaluation Criteria: Group Movie Project
Describe your role in the production of the class movie. How did your contribution make things more efficient? How did you help make the movie better? What specific contributions did you make? Did you go above and beyond, or simply show up? Be honest.

The roles I had in the production of the class movie were boom mic mo, extra, extra and editor. I worked the boom for the first day of filming. The second day of filming I was a "wigger" extra and was in the classroom and hallway scene. The third day of filming i was the script supervisor for the lunch scene and the after school scene. I was another normal extra in the background of the after school scene.
Describe one or more things you learned about the writing process that you did not know before working on this project.
Describe one or more things you learned about the writing process that you did not know before working on this project.
I learned that the best way we got idea was to just come up with as many ideas we could individually and then as a class expand on those ideas until we finally found one that we liked and that we would be able to make. From that idea we would ask questions like "then what would happen?" and we would get different of ideas from people on what to do next and we would pick the one we all liked best. Once we finished with the ideas we made a script that followed the plot and told them what to say.

Describe one or more things you learned about the production (filming) process that you did not know before working on this project.
I learned about the camera and like how we used the DSLR to film the entire thing and it all looks clear when it is focused in. I also learned about things like the boom mic and the audio recorder that the boom plugs into. The slider was one thing i had never heard of until the project. I thought the only ones you could use were the giant major motion picture ones not just little ones like we have. I learned a little more about making movies and the filming part.
Describe one or more things you learned about the post-production (editing, sound, etc.) process that you did not know before working on this project.
Describe one or more things you learned about the post-production (editing, sound, etc.) process that you did not know before working on this project.
I didn't learn too much from the editing part because i think i learned a lot last year about the editing and sound last year. I just used the things we learned last year to cut all the videos together.
Are you satisfied with the final product? Why or why not? Be honest.
Are you satisfied with the final product? Why or why not? Be honest.
I am satisfied i think we did a good job at filming and the idea ended up working great. I didn't like idea at first but after we filmed for a few days i really liked it. I think all of the different edited sections fit together great and look like one person edited it all.
Suggest one improvement for next year’s class. What could I do to make it easier/better/more informative/more fun?
Start filmng the first day and get things done instead of wasting the entire first day.

What is Creativity?
What is creativity?
Creativity is starting with ideas and forming them into a piece of work or something unique that is your own design either 100% yours or something improved on someone else's design. Being creative is being able to form your own ideas and make your own plans that are not copied off of other people. Someone who is creative can work alone and form ideas and plans for something such as a song,a book, or a video without the input of other people. When someone is creative they can come up with something that has never been done before that is different from the normal style at the time.
If someone can create something new and original like the original creators of rap, jazz, or rock did it can start a new thing that is popular that other people will do. The original creators of rap were creative and now there are thousands of rappers because they created something so good that could last for decades and still be popular. Creativity can also be just improving on something. If a custom car builder puts a Ferrari engine in a 1932 Ford he is working off of other people two designs but he was creative because he had an idea that he could do it and he had the creativity to make it work.
Creativity is not just quitting on an idea that is not ready and moving on to something else. It is also not copying. When someone copies an idea and tries to pass it off as their idea they lack creativity. Creativity is something everyone can have if they just try and think and be original.
